My name is Feona and I am married to Ade we have three lovely daughters; Cairo aged 13, Eden & Maya aged 3 years. I have lived in Islington for over 20 years.

I have worked as an English teacher for the past five years, working in a number of inner city schools, my husband is an Engineer.

We are both Ofsted / NCMA & CRB checked, registered childminders working in Islington.

Little Haven Childminding Service is run by Feona and Ade, it was born out of the desire to create a childcare facility that offered nurturing, secure and individualised care for children.

As a family we love going to museums, festivals, spending time together, walking and exploring the Heath. We enjoy all types of food; our particular favourite at the moment is Afro-Cuban. As a family we embrace London and all it's vitality;

We wanted childcare that would support our twin daughters with structure and care in an unstructured way; we wanted childcare that would be flexible and supportive to our working needs; we wanted childcare that could be nurturing, affordable that we could trust.

That’s what we wanted, so that’s what we have created. We offer a warm, interesting learning environment which nurtures your child’s social development, by allowing them freedom to choose and time to discover their place in the world.

Little Haven is place where children can feel at home from home. It is our family home and we wanted children to come to our home and feel safe, loved and supported, this secure and safe setting will encourages a joy of learning, curiosity, creativity and imagination; creating a positive foundation that will grow with them through out their entire education and beyond. It is integral to our ethos at Little Haven that we work hand in hand with the parents of each of the children in our setting. The success of a child’s early development is dependent on many factors. However, 'the home learning environment is the single biggest influence on a child's development', therefore our practice and setting is based on working together as a team with parents and carers alike. It takes a community to raise a child.

I have worked and looked after children for the last 20 years in my home and in schools. I love children and I am passionate about them, I love teaching and engaging children in the desire to learn continually.
