Oakhurst Childminder

My name is Nicola Dent I am an OFSTED Registered Childminder who is fully insured through the National Childminding Association (N.C.M.A.) of which I am also a member. I have had medical checks and been cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau. I have also completed my NVQ level 3 in Children’s Care. Learning & Development.

I have attended and completed a Paediatric First Aid course, so am aware of what to do incase of emergencies.

I believe I have created a happy, caring and stimulating environment, where children can have all the individual attention they need, while encouraging independence and confidence. I would like to think that all the children I care for to feel at home, happy, content, and part of a large family.

Educational toys and games are provided with a great number of books for them to browse at their leisure. The children are encouraged to become involved in art, craft, cookery, gardening and musical activities. We also try to go on varied day trips out, whenever possible.

Separate sleeping facilities are provided to enable undisturbed sleep.
