Registered Childminder in Leigh-on-Sea Essex

I am Victoria age 32, a stay at home mum living in Leigh-on-Sea very close to St Michaels School and Westleigh School. I live with my husband Dan and our 3 children aged 7, 5 and 1. Up until having children I worked in compliance for a broking firm in London. I finished working when I fell pregnant with my first child. My husband works in London for a financial trading software company.

I am able to do pick ups from St Michaels, West Leigh and North St Schools and pick ups from Pre Schools in the local area.

My hours are 7.30am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday - other hours can be suited to your requirements. I am very flexible. Part-Time, and Pay as you need options are available.

I have successfully completed Home-Based Childcare for childminders and nannies Level 3 unit CYPOP 5 with the National Childminding Association (NCMA). I am Ofsted Registered and I have enhanced CRB checks. I have full public liability insurance through the NCMA.

I completed my Paediactric Early Years First Aid training in July 2011.

I attend regular courses and conferences to keep up to date with any changes and to improve my knowledge to help give the children a better quality of care. I am a member of the NCMA.

I feel very comfortable and competent caring for children of all ages.

I provide freshly made and healthy home cooked meals alongside healthy snacks and drinks throughout the day. All meals, snacks and drinks are included in my hourly fee (please contact me for details on my fees).

We have a large playroom, which has been designed with the children in mind, there are lots of toys and resources, the only items that they do not have immediate access to are things like scissors, glue, paint etc., this, for obvious reasons are so that younger children do not harm themselves or the other children.

The children have easy access into the garden, which has a decked area along with a large grass area where we have swings. We have a range of outdoor toys to suit different age groups, from push-alongs to scooters, as well as balls, skipping ropes, hoops etc. I am always adding to the resources.
The children are free to take the playroom toys out into the garden.

There is a downstairs cloakroom for the children to use, this gives them easy access to hand washing facilities when doing messier activities. The children will be able to wash their hands before and after using the toilet and before meals and snacks.

We go on regular outings to the park, playgroups and beach. I also attend different toddler groups and meet up with other childminders to help children develop good social skills.

I have a Volvo XC90 7 seater car so plenty of room to carry everyone if we go out for a trip. A copy of my car insurance and MOT certificates are available to look at on request.

I will provide a daily diary for each child which will be given to the parents at the end of each day. In this will be a mixture of information which may contain details on where we have been, what they have seen, heard, felt or made. I will also be taking photos so I can record these memorable moments for you, it will also keep you informed of your child’s progress.

I aim to provide a wide range of opportunities in the form of interactive, fun and challenging activities to enable children of all backgrounds and abilities to develop and learn through play in a caring, supportive and happy environment.

I fully understand the importance of learning through play and appreciate that each child is unique. What one child enjoys, another may not. I believe that children should be treated with respect and that they learn from positive role models.
