...im nichola,an ofsted registered experienced childminder living in a large welcoming home from home setting, packed full of resources, cuddles and fun! i live with my husband and have three daughters, 9,6 and 3 who attend school in longridge. i live in ribbleton,preston, close to junction 31A motorway junction. i offer a wide variety of daily activities indoor/outdoor, various daily outings- local and the wider community and offer a unique small adult-child interaction ratio to cater for each childs individual needs, all in line with the current Early Years Foundation Stage. I am a member of Prestons Quality first childminding network, recieving continual support, training and quality visits from my network co-ordinator. I have had over 10years childcare experience,i have been childminding for 5years and enjoy each day nurturing children in a relaxing home setting catered to each unique childs individual needs and watching them grow and develop.No two days are the same and we enjoy a wide variety of outings and activities each day. i take lots of photos to capture the learning experiences and share with parents.
As ive gained experience, I use it to offer support and mentoring to new childminders through the lancashire support mentor childminder scheme. i have previously worked in schools as a 1-2-1 special needs support assistant, after school club, and playgroup setting. i have had very recent experience of supporting special needs within a childminding setting.
