Ofsted registered Childminder has vacancies in the Southend Essex area

My Name is Ruth I have been registered for nearly 2 years, after working as a Senior Carer in a residential Nursing Home, I decided I wanted to spend time with my children, which I have seven, the eldest is 20 the youngest is 3, all are still living at home.



I found I started to get called upon to look after the children of the staff where I used to work so I decided to take my Level 3 Diploma in Home-based childcare.



I have what people class as a homely home, I have been married to my husband for 20 years now, all my children are polite and well behaved they also get on very well with each other, I have one attending Bournemouth Park school and one in Cecil Jones lower school,the three eldest all attend local colleges. My 15 yr old is home tutored the same as her elders.



I offer my services to cover the Southchurch area of Southend.

I believe that all children deserve a bright and loving up bringing. I am registered to care for 4 between the ages of 0-8 and 4 above this age



I have a large enclosed garden with an area fenced off for the smaller children which contains 'large toys ' for their use, my garden has a trampoline in the summer and other various activities.



I also have an allotment 10 minutes down the road and encourage children to be involved in this if they wish! being allowed to take home their fruit and veg they have grown to be used by their parents, we also make jams and pickles from the items we grow.



I enjoy the outdoors and am in close proximately to a local park, duck pond and bus ride to the beach. I also arrange outings to places like Marsh Farm, Tropical wings, Hadleigh Castle. As I am lucky enough to own a 9 seatter minibus, this also has a lift for wheelchair use.



I love activities especially art and crafts and messy play, I have an array of board games and toys suitable for ages 0-16.

I follow the guidelines set out by the EYFS and these can be seen by you if you decide to visit

Myself and everyone over 16 have been recently CRB checked.

I have business Insurance on my vehicle.

I also belong to the NCMA southend children come first childminding network.



I hold a First Aid Certificate.

My Rates are reasonable and it is better to discuss these personally,

I do not charge for my holidays, or if I am off sick, I do have a back up childminder for your use.



I do expect to be paid if your child is ill or not attending.



I have a full list of policies and procedures that I follow and expect you to do the same that are set out by Ofsted/NCMA.



I do also have household pets that I will inform you of when you contact me.



My work hrs cover from 6.30am till 8.30pm these are negotiable as I understand some jobs are outside these hours or you may be attending night classes. I do work Bank holidays, I also cover for school holidays.



My weekends are my own I am afraid! but if there is a possibility that you are on a moving rota we can discuss this
