Childminders in Putney

Our names are Valerie and Kayleigh Mair, we are a mother and daughter Ofsted Registered, experienced, fully insured and qualified Childminder team, working together to offer quality childcare. Between us we have over ten years experience working as nursery teachers, working with children aged from 3 months to 9 years old. We are located in a quiet location in the putney area and have five full time places available for children aged between 1 and 5 years old.

At Bear Necessities our aim is to provide a warm, friendly, safe and stimulating environment with a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all the children, where they can learn, grow and have fun in a home based environment. We are dedicated in providing the finest quality of care, education and love for our children. We hope to provide opportunities for each child to learn and develop to their full potential socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually, also to help each child to reach the highest degree of independence and confidence, as well as to discover their own strengths academically and creatively and to pave the way for them to go on and be happy and inquisitive at school.

We believe that partnership with parents/ carers is important and welcome frequent discussions with the parents about their child’s development and well-being. At Bear Necessities we provide a comprehensive preschool education programme, concentrating on teaching your child their numbers, colours, shapes and letters, together with developing their fine and gross motor skills.

Bear Necessities are open Monday to Friday, 51 weeks a year. Our standard hours are from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. (however we can be flexible should you require an earlier drop off or later pick up)
