Little Tots Childminding Hartlepool

I have been a registered childminder since September 2010
I am registered with OFSTED and have looked after a number of children long term and short term.
I live with my partner Andrew and we have a 28-month-old daughter. I have done my first aid certificate (Centered on babies & young children) and will re-take the course every three years under OFSTED. OFSTED inspect my premises and me. I have recently been inspected by OFSTED and received an overall grading of Good – which means I am doing above the minimum I am required to do and that I deliver a consistent service.

I have Public Liability Insurance, which I renew yearly. As Registered Childminders, we have Standard requirements under OFSTED. Some of which are to keep good records, for example, Accident/Incident Log, Attendance and Payment records, Contracts and Medical forms and record of any medicines given (only by parental written consent). These are kept confidential and secure on the premises. I also implement the new Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
My aim is to provide attentive, sensitive care to children ensuring they are at all times, safe, secure, happy, stimulated and comfortable in their surroundings. I see my role as being to provide a normal daily routine and environment, incorporating all the things a child would ordinarily encounter with their parents, such as walks, visits to friends, attendance of toddler groups or school, stimulating play, crafts and visits to local shops and parks.
I also aim to develop them socially, physically, intellectually and emotionally by means of age and stage appropriate toys, activites and outings.
I have a great interest in Art, Music and dance and will encourage these subjects with children of all ages. I have a good range of equipment, which they can use their hearts content.

There will be a basic routine, usually based around play and, of course, meal times. There will always be time for free play and all sorts of different activities with a wide range of a toy selection.
I attend local baby and toddler groups at the local library and Sure Start Centres.
I will guide the children and encourage them in their activities; this will help with confidence, concentration and communication, with equal opportunities always apparent.
