ABOUT ME:

Hi there!

My name is Marie, I am 33, married with 2 children.

I live in the Martins Heron/The Warren area of Bracknell, located less than 5 minutes walk from Martins Heron Train Station and am able to provide a car parking space, should you need it during the day if you commute to work.

I am a newly Registered Ofsted childminder.

I am a warm, jolly character, or so everyone keeps telling me (!!), who loves being around children. I am fascinated by child development and strongly believe in learning through fun. I aim to provide a wealth of activities to encourage each child's development and build on their interests.

I am a great believer in providing children with a home from home environment and will work closely with parent(s) to ensure continuity of care.

MY EXPERIENCE:
I have two children, aged 18 months and five years. I absolutey love being a mother and find it an emmensely rewarding and fulfilling role.

I have previous extensive babysitting experience with friends and have also worked as a volunteer at a local Rainbows Group with children aged 5-7, for one and a half years.

I have completed a Diploma in Childcare and have just recently enrolled to start a Diploma in Child Psychology.

In order to keep my knowledge base up to speed and current, I am subscribed to four leading magazine publications.

MY QUALIFICATIONS:
* Attendance at Bracknell Council's 12 Week Childminding Registration Course.
* Enhanced CRB and Social Services Checks.
* Diploma in Childcare - NVQ Level 3 equivalent - Passed with Distinction
* Currently completing a Diploma in Child Psychology - NVQ Level 4 equivalent.
* Fully qualified in Paediatric First Aid.
* Safeguarding Children/Child Protection - Level 1 Certificate.
* Helping Childminders Communicate with Children and Families - Course Certificate

MY AVAILABILITY:

*One full time place for a child under five - available from July 2011.

* Two half term/school holiday places - available from September 2011.

* Two before/after school places for children attending Harmans Water School,
Bracknell. FYI, I will walk to and from the school as I am a non-driver.
