About Me

Hi there, I'm Emma and my partner's name is Dan, he's also an Ofsted registered childminder and we are also soon to become foster carers. Dan also works as a security guard but when he is at home he can help out with the children so they will have a male role model around who is also qualified; so you get 2 childminders for the price of one! We have one son of our own, he is currently 19 months old. We also have 2 Mississippi Mud Turtles as pets which children seem to take great interest in. We are both registered on the early years register, the compulsory part of the childcare register and the voluntary part of the childcare register so are happy to have a child over night and we can accommodate shift workers.

My Experience

I have experience in caring for autistic children, an autistic and blind child, have looked after my siblings from a young age and of course our own son, Daniel-Junior.

My Qualifications

I have a degree in Psychology (Bsc hons), in which I studied child development. My partner and I both have paediatric first aid training, we have both completed our ICP and are both in the process of completing an NVQ level 3 in home based child care.

My Availability

I am available on week days, week nights and weekends both day and night.
My Fees

Weekdays:
£3.50 per hour for days
£3.75 per hour for over nights

Weekends:
£3.75 per hour for days
£3.75 per hour for over nights

Concessions can be made for those with a child/children in our care for more than 8 hours a day/night.

We are happy to care for children from birth to the age of 16.

All meals and snacks and any fees for baby/toddler groups and outings are included in prices above.
(Please note: This does not include baby formula and if a child requires a special diet, e.g. lactose intolerance; then meals will need to be either provided or subsidised by the parent/guardian.)
