Northampton Childminder, Overstone & Ecton

We are a husband and wife team (Claire and Dave) working together in the Ecton Brook area of Northampton, we are able to pick up/drop off from Overstone Primary School, Ecton Brook Primary and Happy Days Pre-school.

We live in a quiet cul-de-sac over looking woods and fields. We have two teenage boys and have two pets, one cat, Maisy, and a west highland terrier called Roo. Both pets are used to young children and enjoy the fuss they get from visitors. We both have enhanced CRB checks as does the two boys.

Claire has 18 years experience of working with children, initially bringing up her own two boys who are now 16 and 18, and then in a primary school working with children upto 9 years old for 4 yrs as a teaching assistant. For the last 7 years she has been working for Northampton County Council as an Early Years Special Educational needs advisor.

She has a foundation degree in early years and is fully trained in British sign language and Makaton. Claire has gained many qualifications relating to child care and SEN.

Claire is fully qualified in peadiatric first aid. Claire is registered with OFSTED and was recently inspected and awarded an overall good grade with two outstandings.

Dave worked for the NHS for 14 years in a managerial role and recently worked for Northants Police. Dave has full first aid training and food hygiene certificate and other qualifications.
